GEN 3:8-9

New American Standard Bible

Now they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?”

Cathy and I have a garden in which we love to sit. From the garden we watch the sun rise over the trees, we watch the sun set, we often see deer running through the woods, we listen to the birds sing and watch the flowers bloom. While sitting in our garden, we see the majesty of God the creator of all things. We sit quietly, and commune with God.

We are with God in the cool of the day. Even though we cannot talk directly with God as Adam did, we are still with Him.

Sometimes, we simply need to sit, quietly and see the presence of God. This is the way we find peace through the storm. “Hush, be still”.

MARK 4:39

NEW AMERICAN STANDARD BIBLE

39 And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.
